Hydraulic engineering with method
IDROAM is an engineering firm specialising in hydraulic and environmental design. We work with public and private clients to protect the territory, manage water resources and build sustainable infrastructure.
Our mission
Water is a resource. We design for it.
We were founded on the belief that water management is one of the most important challenges of our time. Every project we undertake — from flood defence to wastewater treatment, from urban drainage to hydraulic modelling — begins with rigorous analysis and ends with a concrete, measurable solution.
Our approach integrates engineering expertise, environmental awareness and technological innovation. We do more than design: we support our clients from the study phase through to construction supervision and final commissioning.
We design hydraulic infrastructure that protects communities and respects the environment. Every intervention is conceived to stand the test of time and generate lasting value for the territory.
Hydraulic and environmental engineering
Our values
Three principles that guide every project
Technical rigour
Every solution is built on data, models and verification. We use specialist software and methodologies validated by the scientific community to ensure reliable results.
Sustainability
We design with the land, not against it. Nature-based solutions, green infrastructure and approaches that minimise environmental impact are an integral part of our work.
Collaboration
We work alongside public bodies, companies and professionals. A multidisciplinary approach that brings together hydraulics, geology, urban planning and environmental sciences.
Adriano Murachelli
Technical Director
With over 25 years of direct field experience, Adriano has led the design and delivery of critical infrastructure and major hydraulic works. Author of the reference technical manual "Hydraulic Risk and Land Defence" and former President of AIAT for nine years, he brings clients a pragmatic vision forged through Construction Management and the hands-on running of complex sites. His approach ensures that every solution is technically sound, genuinely buildable and rigorously compliant with the highest safety and regulatory standards.
Ines Antunes
CEO and Head of Innovation
Holding a Research Doctorate and with over 30 international scientific publications, Ines led the R&D division of Polyglass — Mapei Group, coordinating the development of complex projects at the intersection of industrial research and applied engineering. Her approach combines rigorous numerical modelling with advanced data analysis, translating innovation into concrete solutions protected by 2 industrial patents. Her vision is focused on integrating digital technologies and new materials to maximise the durability, efficiency and sustainability of hydraulic infrastructure.
